Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka was the destination for Robyn & Fred’s Photography Escapades in 2016. We travelled to Sri Lanka in October 2016 as part of the Razza Images Photography Tour where we stayed for 14 days visiting places such as Negombo, Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Nuwara-Eilya (famous for its’ tea plantations), Yala National Park, Galle and Bentota.
The currency of Sri Lanka is the Rupee (LKR). An interesting fact that Robyn discovered prior to our departure was that there are strict limits on the amount of Sri Lanka Rupees that can be brought into the country. At the time we were travelling this limit was 5,000 rupees (approx. $50 Australian dollars) but visitors are allowed to bring in foreign currency which was easily exchanged within the country. Similarly, visitors are not permitted to take Sri Lankan rupees out of the country upon departure.
